Bridal Veil Lakes is a Columbia Gorge wedding venue that we absolutely love to shoot at. It overlooks one of our favorite places to explore - the Columbia River Gorge. The wedding venue has towering old growth forests that surround a 3 acre spring fed lake. Bridal Veil Lakes has a private recreational area that is filled with lush greenery and gardens, beautiful wildflowers and breathtaking views.
Art-Deco Inspired Bridal Veil Lakes Wedding
Ben and Jane’s Columbia Gorge wedding at Bridal Veil Lakes was one of my favorite weddings to shoot for so many reasons! First of all...they have an appreciation and respect for analog photos and video in which we fully support and love. Second, they have the cutest story that would inspire an Indie film featuring a beautiful model falling in love with her charming photographer...which we love capturing sweet and unique stories. Third, they are both like minded industry peers who practice photography, film making, creative directing, and calligraphy as a profession…. which we love because it’s cool to share common interests. Fourth, all the events took place outdoors which is the best and most flattering light to utilize throughout a whole wedding day…. a wedding film photographer’s dream! Fifth, Ben and Jane are madly in love so it made my job easy to reflect that love in stills.
Jane was gorgeous and stunning in her Brides For A Cause Dress and Ben was super handsome and dapper in his Black Tux Suit. A beautiful couple combined with the beautiful Bridal Veil Lakes wedding venue is every wedding photographer’s dream. Being that Jane and Ben moved to Portland from Los Angeles, their occasion was an Oregon Destination Wedding for most of their guests in which I’m always proud and humble to share my breathtaking state with others.
Stacy from Skinny Rose Designs supplied the florals, Voila provided the coordinating, rentals, and catering and Wade from Sharkpig was the 8mm wedding film maker! Cheers to winning one of my favorite weddings!
