Lauren and Corey’s Gorge Crest Vineyards Wedding was intimate, beautiful, and laid back. Shooting small weddings during COVID has been different, but we love the intimacy and stress free vibes typically seen with larger weddings. Getting married during the pandemic has removed a lot of the unnecessary and brought the focus back to what really matters: the love and the couple.
The Wedding Venue
Just over 1 hour from Portland, the Gorge Crest Vineyards wedding venue is an awesome place to get married. Settled amongst the Columbia River Gorge with Mt. Hood as the backdrop, we were definitely in our element and loved being and shooting out in nature. The wedding venue has everything you need for a small intimate wedding; prep rooms, ceremony location, reception space, and enough options to shoot creatives.
“Gorge Crest Vineyards is an award winning winery and wedding venue located in the majestic Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area just 10 minutes from Hood River, Oregon and Interstate 84. The site slopes gently to the south and has sweeping views of Mt. Hood, the Hood River Valley and the Columbia Gorge. The farm sits at the base of Underwood Mountain and directly borders several of the area’s premiere vineyards.
In 2004, Gorge Crest launched its initiative to revitalize the farm and built a traditional barn style winery in a wooded portion of the site. Planting of the vineyard and construction of the winery were the first steps in re-creating an economically viable farming operation.”
3 Wedding Guests + Ceremony Live Stream. Perfect.
Lauren and Corey’s wedding had 3 in person guests + a group of friends and family who attended online. During the ceremony and reception toasts we set up a livestream video into a private Facebook Group for their friends and family to watch. This set up was a lot of fun and it was really special to see their online guests presence.
